I guarantee this Akita to the best of my knowledge to be sound body, good health, and free of any communicable disease at the time of sale/placement.  The client shall have 14 days from the date of this contract to have the puppy checked by the veterinarian of their choice.  If at this time, the veterinarian finds any serious illness, the puppy can be returned to Grand Slam Akitas for a replacement or refund at the discretion of Grand Slam Akitas.

The puppy/dog shall have the name Grand Slam to begin its registered name with the AKC.

IT IS AGREED TO THAT NO PUPPY SOLD BY GRANDSLAM AKITAS WILL EVER BE TIED TO A TREE OR LEFT IN ANY UNHUMANE SITUATION.

OWNER AGREEES TO TAKE CARE OF PUPPY (FOOD, WATER, VETERINARIAN CARE, ETC.) TO THE BEST OF THERE ABILITY.  IF THIS IS UNABLE TO HAPPEN, GRANDSLAM AKITAS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REPOSESS THE PUPPY WITH NO REFUND.

 

PET PUPPIES

If pet puppy; this puppy will be guaranteed against any eye diseases and against crippling hip dysphasia and any genetic health problems until 24 months of age.  It is recommended if there is a concern about the puppy’s health, the puppy should be taken to a veterinarian immediately to confirm the issue at hand.  Replacements or refunds will occur only after Grand Slam Akitas has written notification from a veterinarian that the dog has been sterilized.

All Pet puppies are required to be spayed/neutered within 1 year of this sale.  _____INITIAL

All Pet Puppies will be sold on limited registration. ____INITIAL

Client understands he/she is solely responsible for this Akita and to indemnify and hold harmless Grand Slam Akitas from any and all claims of liability for the conduct of this Akita on or after the date of this contract.  ____INITIAL

SHOW PUPPIES ONLY

If a show puppy; this Akita will be guaranteed to the age of 24 months against any disqualifying faults as named by the AKC standard.  It is also guaranteed to be free of any genetic disease.  This disease must be the result of genetic origin and not the result of environmental conditions (poor nutrition, accidental, or illness).  Before being used for breeding purposes, the dog must pass all genetic health tests.  Should the dog fail any of these tests, the dog will be replaced with the next available puppy.  This replacement will occur only after Grand Slam Akitas has written notification from a veterinarian that the dog has been sterilized.

 Before this Akita can be used for breeding purposes, the following criteria must be met:

  1. This dog must clear all genetic diseases (OFA, CERF, Thyroid)
  2. The dog must obtain its AKC Championship – unless written permission is obtained from Grand Slam Akitas.  ____INITIAL
  3. Client agrees to provide regular vet. Care, proper food, water, shelter, and adequate companionship.  Client also agrees that this Akita and its offspring will not be used to produce offspring intended for or sold to any pet shop, wholesale, or retail outlet, dog agent or dog dealer, or dog fighting places or people.  _____
  4. Client agrees to give Grand Slam Akitas first option to purchase Akita Client intends to sell or give away this Akita.  Client agrees to notify Grand Slam Akitas of any change in address and/or telephone number.  _____
  5. Client understands when they purchase a show Akita from Grand Slam Akitas it is with the understanding that this Akita will be shown to its AKC championship prior to breeding.  Client agrees this Akita will only be bred to akitas of show quality and free of disqualifying faults and genetic disease.  (OFA’d & Cerf’d).
  6. Offspring of this Akita shall not be sold with breeding with breeding privileges unless they are of show quality.  Companions are to be sold with a spay/neuter agreement and with no breeding privileges on the AKC registration papers.  ____
  7. Client understands he/she is solely responsible for this Akita and to indemnify and hold harmless Grand Slam Akitas from any and all claims of liability for the conduct of this Akita on or after the date of this contract.  ____INITIAL

 Violation of this contract damages the goodwill and reputation of Grand Slam Akitas and the Akita breed in general.  Breach of this contract can result in repossession without reimbursement.
